For very fast transmission of data, CBL offers the AirLaser IP1000. With its data rate of 1.250 Mbps, the AirLaser IP1000 meets the demands on connecting Gigabit Ethernet networks. Due to the weather related availability, CBL recommends to use the AirLaser IP1000 in combination with a fibre optic connection, if the distance between the two sites exceeds 300 meters.
The AirLaser IP1000 is desigend to transfer Gigabit Ethernet signals over several hundred meters. It has a modular system design and very compact dimensions. The application module provides the interfaces to the network. Beside the 1000BaseSX interface for coupling the network by multimode fiber you will find a 100BaseFX interface for the management. Additionally the module feeds the four VCSEL (Vertical Cavitiy Surface Emitting Laser) with the data. Despite the high power of these VCSEL, the AirLaser IP1000 complies to the demands of the laser class 1M. It is eye safe. As receiver the system deploys an APD. The system can be connected to 230 V AC and/or 48 V DC either.
