Management via SNMP agent and web browser
For easy monitoring and controlling the data connection, CBL offers a sophisticated in-band management for the AirLaser. It is available as an option and can be added to the AirLaser at any time in the field. Configuration and monitoring can be done by means of a SNMP compatible network management software or - the much easier way - via a common web browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. Administrators get the status of both stations at a glance. Special characteristics of the management:
SNMP agent and integrated webserver; |
long-term analyses possible by means of real time clock and event strorage up to 4000 entries; |
transmission of alarm, warning and error messages to up to four email addresses; |
remote maintenance easy to realize. |
To ensure an intuitive handling, CBL offers a graphical user interface, which can be used with any common web browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. This easy to understand GUI facilitates the configuration and the monitoring for the user.
After the log-in procedure, which prevents from unauthorized access, the main window, divided into two parts, opens. On the left, a navigation bar allows direct access to all main sections. In these sections you will find graphical overviews of the complete link, the actual status of the connection and the operating settings, which can be also changed there. Additionally the user interface gives you the possibility to update the soft- and firmware of the AirLaser. Especially if you have more than one link installed, the detailled assignement of site and contact data to one system allows an easy and reliable identification.
An live management demonstration of the CBL test link you find at www.airlaser.net. There you may access the actual status with all parameter and test the graphical user interface.
