LaserLink STM-1

Connection of ATM-nodes or TV-transmission needs bit error free STM-1 links. For that task, CBL developed LaserLink STM-1. Based on four optical transmitters in latest VCSEL-Laser technology, they have an aperture of 4 x 60 mm in diameter. LaserLink STM-1 is unsensitive to snow, rain and crossing birds. The system has a 1210 nm fiber optic interface.

LaserLink STM-1 is controlled via SNMP/web-based management. Management access runs via IP (Ethernet 10/100BT):

    • Permanent supervision and configuration,
    • email-alarming,
    • long time analysis of the hop,
    • simple integration in existing SNMP-NMS like HP OpenView via MIB, supporting RFC1213 and SNMPv1/2.
